Make Git Rebase Idiot-Proof

"Sometimes I fuck up my git rebase so bad I delete the repository and clone a new version" – Emma Bostian, Twitter.

I'm getting a lot better at this myself (git rebase --abort has helped prevent me from needing to do the above myself a lot now), but even just wrapping my head around the concept of a rebase as opposed to a merge was pretty challenging.

If I could make a GUI tool for people that made rebasing super simple and easy to do, it might be helpful for some people.

Make a universal blog export converter.

Don't just write a script that converts WordPress to Ghost 2.0, write something that converts it back, and to blog archive format, and all the other common formats I can find, and make them all convert to each other. Then wrap it up in a nice GUI with plenty of instructions and make it easy to install on Windows too so non-technical people can quickly export their blog to whatever platform they want with minimal hassle.

Stylish Bike Bags for Women

I love riding a bike, but trying to figure out a way to carry things on one without either:

  • Purchasing a very masculine bike-specific piece of gear
  • Having my shoulder-strap handbag flap around annoyingly while riding
  • Wearing a heavy backpack, or even just having to wear a backpack to hold my phone wallet and keys, and needing to stop and take it off every time I want to use something.
  • Throwing off your center of gravity with a 'milk-crate' attached on top of a rear wheel rack.
  • Trying to lash your handbag with bungy-cords to the top of your rear wheel rack and constantly paranoid about it falling off without you noticing.
  • Specifically wearing one of the few items of clothing I have with pockets big enough to hold what I need for the ride, or being paranoid about something falling out of a pocket that is too small.
  • Getting a jacket, putting what you need in the pockets, then tying it round your waist, or overheating in said jacket.
  • Buying a handlebar basket, and dumping your handbag or what you need inside it. I haven't tried this yet, but people warn me that this also throws off your center of gravity. Apparently it's also 'uncool' to attach a handlebar basket to the front of a MTB/Hybrid bike. I'm also worried about people stealing a detachable one. Bikes sold with one permanently attached tend not to have enough gears to keep me satisfied.
  • Get a pannier bag, and put your handbag and things you need inside it. This is what I'm trying at the moment. It's certainly nicer than using a backpack, but it's still masculine styled, and I'm worried about leaving it attached to the bike if I park it in public places. This means I'll need to carry it round with me in those situations.

But seriously, why can't I just buy a nice pretty bag that attaches and detaches to my handlebars easily?

I could make it work with a bag with short handles, and then loop them over one of the bike handlebars, BUT THEN I HAVE TO USE A FREE HAND TO CARRY MY HANDBAG AROUND.

I will always use a handbag with a shoulder strap because that's the closest thing I can have to a "hands-free, everything you need is in your pockets your clothes so thoughtfully didn't include for you" experience.

Literally the only thing I can find is this (which I have to ship in from overseas, and their store seems to be temporally closed down).
